Cheapest vehicle registration State?

Whats state on the east cost from florida on up will cost you the least money to register a new car with whatever taxes they pay. i heard sc is 150 dollars and then i heard nc charges 3% highway tax! everyone chime in thx!

Guys I meant when u register ur car and thay charge u certain taxes like some states charge sales tax or highway tax which is a percentage of the total cost of the vehicle

I'm not sure why you'd want to know. Registering a new car in another state may not save you any money. When you do bring it back to NY, you might have to pay sales tax (or use tax as CA calls it) anyway.

Ohio is a bit under $50 for my bimmer. And our shitty roads are a testimate to that.

CA has 1% property tax. If a state has low registration on cars like Texas for example, the property tax rate is around 2-4%. On a $300,000 home, that is $6-12k a year in property tax vice $3k.

I would rather pay a little more vehicle registration.
