All jokes aside, yes, I was referring to 4G network.. if it was going to come out soon...!

Yes.

$200? So I pay $400 more out of my pocket for the new phone itself right? Thanks for researching but I think I'll pass..

and I got my iPhone 3G 3 months ago..

Anybody going to trade in theirs for one??
I wonder how much they will charge extra to have the phone itself upgraded.. any people that work in Apple here?!
It sucks. I hate that I was wrong, and it pisses me off with this new phone every year BS. But its just not worth what you'd have to spend to upgrade to the 3GS. The 3G with iPhone OS 3.0 will do most of the things that the 3GS can do minus video recording, voice recognition, etc. Just wait it out. No point in dropping $400 or $500 to get a new phone when they will most likely redesign it again in a year.

International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000), better known as 3G or 3rd Generation, is a family of standards for wireless communications defined by the International Telecommunication Union[1], which includes EDGE, CDMA2000, the UMTS family as well as DECT and WiMAX. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephone, video calls, and wireless data, all in a mobile environment. Compared to 2G and 2.5G services, 3G allows simultaneous use of speech and data services and higher data rates (up to 14.4 Mbit/s on the downlink and 5.8 Mbit/s on the uplink with HSPA+). Thus, 3G networks enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency.
it's a network... the third generation of networks.. but the iPhone 3G was called 3G because it supports the NETWORK.

you've been served
