what is the difference between traditional fit, relaxed, and slim for denim jeans? im a size 34/30 is the slim tighter or something? im buying jeans online cause the store doesn't have it and it offers these 3 choices with vague descriptions like "european fit" slim, etc.

traditional fit is your early 90's style. Right fit and tapered down near the bottom. Relax fit is like straight fit from thigh to the bottom. Slim fit is not like those tight nut hugging jeans you see these emos wear. It hugs just right from the thigh down and if you have the boot fit, it's almost like bell bottom (nothing noticeable though). Just enough for you to wear designer dress shoes without it constriting your shins. I prefer express rerock jean or the rocco. The slim fit I wear are low rise boot cut.

thanks for the reply. im so newb at this lol. tapered down near the bottom means it getting skinny like narrowing so with dress shoes it looks good?

relax you say is straight so it just one size top to bottom like the leg part on the jeans don't get narrow towards bottom?

Hahaha. Nice picture. Personally, I don't think tapered at the bottom looks good with dress shoes. Your socks are more likely to show and it makes your entire legs look thinner than it is. But yes, it does get narrower near the bottom. Relax conforms to your figure, more or less. There's no tapering. Your legs are (of course) naturally bigger up top and smaller down below. Relax fit accomodates that. Nothing stylish. Just the average joe look. Slim fit, low rise and boot cut is my preference. It has that rock star look to it. I'm no metrosexual by any means, but I do know how to dress.

that's borderline skinny jeans. Hate that look. The slim fits I bought from express are different from the picture. The rise is about the same, but definitely not that tight near the bottom. My suggestion is to try the style in store first before you order online.

I'm 34/30 as well. I usually go for relaxed fit or something straighter, so the bottom isn't too narrow.

I usually use Boot fit, relaxed, or just a straight cut. Any Jeans that are tapered on the bottom really look cheap and out of style I find.

as opposed to looking a like complete tool who looks like hes wearing a parachute? idiotic skin tight jeans are for emos, slim fit jeans are the more popular choice

I like relaxed fit. I don't like wearing tight ass jeans and it kinda disturbs me when I see dudes wearing nut hugging jeans. Skinny jeans on girls= hot!! Skinny jeans on guys= not!!

thanks guys for the responses. i went to another bb store to see if they had the jeans and they did. so i tried on a 34/30 in traditional denim and the shit was mad tight on my nuts, maybe it is the fabric of the jeans but they don't stretch as much as say my nautica 34/30 jeans.

so i got the 35/30 and they seem to fit well but now i got excess on the waist area alittle big and they dont make sizes in between.

if i ordered the relaxed fit 34/30 would it be alittle better losser fit then the traditional 34/30?

i feel like such a noob posting this .
