C63 0-60 4 flat right?

4.1 is more than quick. 0-60 is not that huge of a deal for me but there are not that many cars that do sub 4's anyway.

In the grand scheme of all automobiles.

The most important thing in reality is between 30mph and say 80mph, that's where most of our driving centers between.

The most important thing for me is feel.

If it does not feel right I could give a monkeys arse how it looks or how fast it is.

I have said it many times on here that I prefered the feel of my 320i, many moons ago, to the feel my 335 had.

An old 300ZX I had just felt good when I got in it. Was not that quick at all but it sure made me smile.

Both of those cars where hard to watch drive away when I sold them.

335....adios amigo.

You know what I mean?

Its one of the reasons i miss my ole S2000. It wasn't fast, but it was quick enough and had good handling and good feel.

The Farnbacher Loles Cayman GTR is very real. The pre-09 3.8L Carrera S engine tuned close to 400hp in a Cayman. Yes please.

+1

The obsession with speed can be short lived in the real world. How the car feels and handles on the actual roads one drives on is all that really counts in the end.

I've had much more fun with older lightweight "slow" cars that make me feel like I'm actually connected to the chassis. I'll give up bragging rights for pure sensory pleasure any day.

Must not make comment about how an avg looking girl that is a monster in the bed is better than a model that is a floppy fish...

Wazzup? I'm still around.

Prices didn't drop dramatically enough on the GT3s. Maybe 2k max off MSRP and that was iffy. We'll see what happens in the spring.

But mainly I'm thinking I'm rarely, if ever, going to track the thing and so (to me) it's kinda useless as a plain jane real world street car. Just being realistic, imho. At least I hope so

Flake :P. but honestly, I give mad props to anyone who owns a GT3. A hero in my book!

Although a buddy of mine has a 430 scuderia in Dubai. does that count?

Damn, Guardian- how'd you get your hands on one of those?

I always heard the Caymen is more about high-speed handling, so you probably didn't really get a chance to appreciate it's best attributes...like on a track, or driving up the mountain. That said, for daily driving your 135 is probably as much or more fun, not to mention a lot more practical. The closest thing I've driven to a Caymen is an S2000. I thought '''ehhh...nothin' special" until I took it to an empty parking lot. Holy crap! That car was just telepathic. Not the fastest car I've driven, but definitely the most fun under the right circumstances. That said, around town I'd take my 335i over an S2000 any day.

Everyone note: Guardian lives at high altitude- over one mile. I'm sure his 1 feels significantly quicker than the Caymen with the turbo compensating for that, and straight-line performance was the main thing he got to test.

There's no 135 that will touch it on the track (stock for stock - I don't want to hear about modded ECUs). Also, at 3,800rpm the VarioCam kicks in. VarioCam Plus combines variable valve timing with two-stage lift on the inlet side. This results in smoother running, better fuel economy and lower exhaust emissions. As well as greater top-end power and low-end torque.
Yes, I'm sure it's uninspiring compared to a GT3, then again, most cars today are - save an Elise or Exige S. The chassis in the Cayman is still more balanced than a 911. I can definitely feel the weight out back compared to the Cayman. Put the 911 engine in the Cayman and run them back to back and I'm sure the Cayman will be quicker.

Yep. 5'11' thin blonde...went dancing once. She moved like she had two twisted ankles.
Tried to work with her on her "driving" skills at home for a few more months but it was pretty hopeless. Amazingly bad on the home "track".

Same kind of thing with a few nice looking cars I have had.

You get my comparison of driving a car to dancing with a woman don't you?

I saw an 08' S model with under 10K miles for 40 even. Black/tan 6 speed. Not many options. But still.
