thanks for the comments everyone, this board cost me 470, i tryed surfing but i just didnt like it as much as i did skimming, but thats just my personal preference, i actually saw a cf board in a shop once and it was over 1000

haha yea, one of the reasons i got into skimboarding was to give myself an excuse to go to these florida beaches

Well skimboarding was fun for the first few times I tried it. Then I broke my ankle fing around on one last summer in SB. I guess I will stick to what I do best; wakeboarding.

I remember when I bought my skimboard... it was last summer when I was staying at the beach house and my friends and I decided we wanted to try skimboarding so we went to the store and bought $40 boards

... I didn't even get to try it...

I was thinking about getting a CF board, but I don't skim enough to justify it and the waves here suck.. I'll just stick to my collection of wooden ones to fool around on.

I was messing around on it all day. Its a simple idea, just throw it and jump on. So after awhile it become boring so I tried doing some stuff. Granted I wakeboard so all we do is grabs, spinning, and going upside down. Two of the three were ruled out so I tried a 360 and a 540. This was my first time so I had no idea what I was doing. I just made it up as I went.

One my third attempt I spun hard and my back foot slipped off. The board was not waxed so it was slick. Well my back foot slipped off and dug into the sand. I kept spinning and eventually fell back wards. I was faced toward the water line and so was my right heel. I just heard a snap and headed up to the car. 4 vics, and two hours later I saw the xray. It was pretty bad.
