Need some car advice!!!

So my dad is interested in buying a new car. It has to be under 35k and auto

. It has to be a coupe and fast. My dad current has a 02 911 c4s(996) and wants another driver. I was thinking Used clk55 Amg, Audi S4,or mercedes cl55 Amg. He doesn't want a m3.

Is maintenance a factor at all? Asking since M's and AMG's are not cheap to maintain. At the price of 35k, the cars you mentioned will have extremely high mileage.

He currently owns a 996. He'll be used to it.

why would you buy a used M or AMG with crazy high milage???? yes cheap in price, but beat as shit.... i guess it's just to say you have an M or AMG....

I'd probably go with a used vette or something along those lines...

none of what you listed is under 35k. even honda s2000 is not!!
try asian cars if you want anything under 35k. im not sure you can even get a G35, or G37 for that price

first thing he said was "a new car". so he wants to get a SLK55 or M3 NEW for 35k. sounds like my dad: unreasonable!

I don't think he meant new as in "right out of the factory" new. I think he meant new as in "new for him" new.

well if ur dad is thinking of a new and your thinking of used, i dont think it will quite work there haha. Did your dad consider the 328i coupe? Its slightly above 35K but its a great car.

my dad is weird he picked up 3 porsches in a month. He sees what he likes. He later regrets it.

AND these cars are not high mileage. Many of you guys probably have more miles than this Amg.

Cl600 maybe not a cl55amg. lowest mileage one i found was 60,000.

No japanesse car for my dad. He doesn't downgrade from a Porsche to a honda.

get a used evo.. its not a coupe but its a fun car to drive if he's just looking for some speed and handling...

Then I guess my 135i suggestion is out the window. Also, if he wants a car of the sort you suggest, he'll either have to spend more than $35K or buy a car that is fairly beat up.

Keeping in mind your "no Japanese car" and "no kid's car" criteria, I'll suggest a VW Passat.

ummmm..... I dont think such a car combination exists unless its very high mileage.....fast under 35k...hmmm. Whats wrong with the porsche? Anything will be a downgrade at 35k from that. If he spends an additional 20k he may be able to get what hes looking for.....

i dont get what yall think high mileage is. Please explain. i believe 30,000 is fine. 03 clk55amg with 30,000 is low mileaged and plus its the new body amg. VW passat? hmm. See ur not reading what im saying. coupe!
