2015 Jaguar XE

what do you guys think of the new Jaguar XE. The XE-S will have 340hp and 400n/m from a supercharged v6.

http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/09/08/o...015-jaguar-xe/

IMO it has the power and the styling way much better looking than the 3series and the new c-class.

Great looking car!

I'll pick one up in 2020 for $4k.

3 series BMW is officially dead last in their design compared to the competition.

a very 'conservative' design....i'm kinda bored of it already. Then again...its competitors aren't exactly "exciting"...

Well, compared to the others it looks amazing. Would be nice if they offered a 6-cyl diesel. 75-mpg numbers from a 4-cyl is nice, but need the 6 for some pepp.

Interior on the other hand is uninspired and I'd rather look at prototype pictures rather than 3D concept mock ups.

Also, no mention of weight. Jag is unfortunately king of the hill on cars made out of granite.

Its a great looking sporty 4 door sedan. I would rock one.
Jag needs to price it smartly aka less than the benz/bmw and they'll sell quiet well. I like it because its a RWD vehicle. No evil FWD cars like the 1er

The front end looks nice, the upper edge does resemble a bit of the 3-series where the bumper meets the bonnet. Some hate it, I don't mind it. There's a hint of Audi and Volvo in that front end as well. From the side it is just a shapeless slab of metal. Could be a Skoda. The rear, meh, if you look closely it resembles the tail of the prefacelifted Audi A5, but with a cheaper tint to it... kinda like the Seat Exeo used to be a cheap Audi clone. Not ugly, but the F30 tail is sharper. Considering the pricing will be at 4 series GC level I guess it will be a good volume selling car. But still, I have to see it in the flesh. Without the S package, without 20+ inch rims and see if it is still an "ok" design. It lacks personality which a Jag should have.

I like it. Jag has come a long way, and I really like where they are heading. The interior looks nice without having too much going on, which seems to be a thing now.

Like stated above, I'll totally buy one in a couple years when it depreciates by 80%.

XE, looks as if it has been on the market for some years and will soon get replacement.
3 Series, looks cheap and ugly.
C Class, looks soft.
A4, looks boring without end.
Q50, looks neither this nor that.
ATS, looks good.
IS, looks best in class at the moment.
Hopefully the new Giulia won't disappoint.

I think the XE looks pretty good, and I specially like that it doesn't have a hideous iPad looking thing sticking out from the middle of the dash like every other new car.

The F30 is looking worse and worse compared to this and the new C-Class.

I'd like to know how big it is. The C and next A4 are getting really big, even larger than the F3x. The IS and ATS are the only reasonably sized options and only the ATS is available with a (horrid) manual.

I also assume there's no chance Jag offers the XE with three pedals.

I believe its 3252 pounds for the V6 equipped XE.\

EPS, but at least it's supposedly lighter than the competition too, unless I'm mistaken.

No, it is going to be RWD. Internal code is 952. Here is a mule using some Ghibli panels and other Fiat/Chrysler parts.
