OK for resume, I copy my PSdZData in the good path, I connect my Esys and i read my I-step...
If you followed the "E-Sys - Installation Instructions - v.5.pdf" as instructed, you could have avoided all this.

The graphic shows up on the instrument cluster but there is no marker/slider to tell you what the temp is - frustrating.
Is there anything else you coded to get the slider displayed? On our F22's it can be coded but slider doesn't display.

It's working
Thanks!
My i-step: F020-13-11-502
i have yet ESYS_v.3.24.3 et PsdzData 51.3, does it compatible with my car?

Second step... today i just need 6NS option, i read that possible without patchs and token, just add 6NS in the SALAPA-Element window, it's true?

thanks for help!

Edit: I have GPS PRO and just BMW APPS, and with this manipulation i don't want loose this option

can you tell me how is the men can make this coding stuff at the dealer, i know they cant make coding but i am sure if a give him some bucks maybe he will do it.

I just coded that module, nothing else. The slider does not do anything, it just stays in the middle position no matter what temp the car is.

F020-13-11-502 is 51.1, so using 51.3 is fine.

You do not need Token Solution for VO Coding, so you can change 6NH to 6NS without it.

This has will have no impact on GPS Pro / BMW Apps.

E-Sys is factory floor software for use by BMW Engineers. Dealerships do not have it. Dealers program cars with ISTA/P, which is not capable of FDL Coding.

OK, i don't understand final step..., do you have more description or tutorial:
Step 2. VO Code Head Unit
Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Right-Click on HU_NBT (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

Thanks for newbie

No. It can't be anymore descriptive. That is every single step, one-by-one. Hundreds of people have followed these same exact instructions just fine. I have faith you can too.

Perhaps a glossary or a link to an existing one would diffuse some of this for the less familiar!

A Glossary is to define and explain terms. These are not terms, they are actions / buttons within a software Application.

People need to take what is written, which is very detailed already, and at least attempt the process, before asking for more detailed instructions. Things become much clearer when actually performing them as opposed to reading and conceptualizing them. If they encounter a problem, then they can post back with their specific issue, and myself or someone else will be quick to provide them the exact help they need.

Glossary, dictionary, cross reference, clarifying document..., the suggestion is not about semantics, just an attempt to help all of us be more independent and preserve some of your precious (and much appreciated) time.

Certainly no offense was intended.

The clarifying document exists in Post #1 of this same Getting Started Thread:

E-Sys - Getting Started Coding.pdf:
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...2&d=1338274757

The steps to VO Code that I detailed above is only a slight variation to the standard FDL Coding illustrated in this document.
