underseat mids...mac audio pro flat 2.20 fit?
So am looking to use the woofer of this set as cheap underseats as a power handling upgrade from the oem hifi underseats.
Will they fit? Comparing them to say a sws-8 the mounting depth etc seem ok? Specs are: 8" woofer (20cm) Mounting depth Woofer: 58 mm Outer diameter Woofer: 242 mm Cutting out Woofer: 182 mm Mounting hight Woofer: 21 mm Power Handling 100 rms / 350 Watt(s) 4 Ohm(s) Frequency Response 38 – 28000 Hz Sound pressure level 91 dB

anyone any further thoughts or would it just be a very similar replacement for hifi underseats rather than a good upgrade per se? I note they are 100w rms though so an upgrade in power handling but they are still paper cone....

they are a tad too tall, but you could try using a spacer with them to get them to fit.
for a reference, the Earthquake SWS-8s are 53/54mm mounting depth. (2.1") |
