So when I had the Galaxy S4, the bluetooth would pair: but the calls would not stay connected after 30 seconds or so... So I had to just grab my phone and talk or reconnect it to the bluetooth device. Also my contact list would never ever populate.

So I sold that phone and for a iPhone 5s, so that I could use the JB4 connect wirelessly. And everything with iDrive works perfectly.

I want to get a new phone and it's between the iPhone6Plus or the Note4. The Note4 has my main interest at the moment. But if it's not going to work with iDrive, then it's pretty pointless.

Does anyone here have any experience with the Note3/4 and iDrive here?

So I just jumped the gun and got the note 4 yesterday. And the contacts still wont load via bluetooth. Go figure...

Ah! My initial thoughts were wrong..You have mulf2 and tcu

Maybe go into settings and see if there is a setting to allow the phone to share the phonebook with the car...


As well as remove all previously paired devices. Hope this helps

There was a notification that popped up to share my contacts when I first paired it. But nothing really happened after.

But I'll try again as there was a new update for the Note4. I'll let you know how it goes. And thanks for your help!

I just updated to 4.4.4, Contacts still won't load. The bluetooth works fine.

A few things that I miss about the iPhone is that Siri works/streams over bluetooth, Along with voice to text. AND GOOGLE MAPS! The regular map don't stream over bluetooth.

Check out an app called "BluetoothKeepAlive" totally solves the 30 second disconnects and phone book sync issues. Costs like 99 cents. I had the same problem on my galaxy s4 too.

This didnt work for me... I ended up getting an ATT Note5 AND IT WORKS!!!!!

This phone is so much better in everyday possible/ Camera, Speed, Interface, Less Bloatware and works with iDrive!
