Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept

First teaser image. More will be know at Detroit. I like the looks. Don't know what engine, but from looks only I'd prefer this over M3 F80 (and RC-F over M4 F82), but I'm biased, I live in Germany.

Not a fan of the wheels, but Nissan and Lexus have done a really nice job with the Q50 and new IS cars. Right now I'd take an IS250 over say, an F30 320i or 328i non-sport. Haven't seen the new Q50 in person yet.

I like how the front isn't as busy as most other cars in the segment, and the color is nice, but it doesn't do much else for me looks-wise. Understated might be a good thing in these over styled days. Just say no to LED DRL's

Wheels are awful.

They made good looking great cars but who ever came up with the idea to rename their complete line up should get fired and banned from automotive industry.

At this moment Infiniti has a great window of opportunity to further establish itself as a premium brand. And among enthusiast, a sporty name. Now is the time to capitalize its sponsorship in a winning F1 team.

I wonder whether this will have the engine to back this F1 themed Q50.

This brand really lost all direction and identity a long time ago. What the hell is this supposed to be, and how does it fit with their new tech-laden image?

It looks like a half-assed kit that Mansory would've squeezed out. Although I do like the Macca P1-esque (and F1-inspired, given the name of course) barge boards they've got going along the sides there trailing the front wheels. That's unusual to see on a road car, let alone a car like the Q50. I wonder if they serve any actual aerodynamic purpose.

Is that a NACA duct on the hood or is that the lights/shadows playing tricks on me?

Sooo why aren't they releasing a car like this with parts from the GTR? Sort of like the relationship between Corvette and CTS-V, it seems like it would make sense from a production standpoint

I hope they do a lot more in terms of performance for this car. As a luxury car/daily driver, it's perfect. But as a performance car, not at all. Oil boils, brakes overheat, heavy around the corners, everything that points away from it being a weekend track car.

If they add some cooling and suspension bits to make this car more weekend friendly, then I'd seriously be interested in this. Other than that, I don't care for another luxury daily driver. Plenty of those all over the market nowadays.

Supposedly, the new G37 Coupe IPL (Q60 or w/e it's supposed to be called) will be an Infiniti version of the GTR. Haven't done too much research about it, but that's what I keep hearing.
