This one is in Conshohocken, PA. I don't konw if it's for sale or anything but it has been there for a while
well if you hear any rumors about it being for sale and you decide you don't want it, you know who to call

If you're wanting a Mazda headache at least get an FD...they're almost worth the trouble.

I loved my FB. Sold it a few months ago at 65k miles, and have been kicking myself ever since.

FD's are great cars but the motors are even more trouble than the 2nd gen. And I've always felt that the FC was more of a purist's car, FB/SA even more so. The FD is the quintessential 90s sports car, a cool car for uncool people.

God that thing is clean as hell. I've been toying with the idea of picking one up instead of an FC and throwing either a 13bT or REW engine in and shooting for 250-300rwhp.

I would disagree, FD handling is one of the best.

I have 3 FD owner friends who would have agreed with you about a year ago.

Currently none of the 3 are running

The running joke at the Houston rx-7 club is that they have a parking lot full of daily drivers and maybe 1-2 rx-7's whenever they have a gathering.

The FD undoubtedly has better handling, doesn't mean it's as good of a driver's car though. It's like comparing a Porsche 930 to a 996 Turbo. The newer car is objectively better in nearly every way, but it's still a worse car to enthusiasts.

Wow that's weird, did the owner pass away? This might just be one of those low mileage gems, there's a good following for these cars. If I were you I'd see if I can purchase the car, clean it up and replace what needs to be replaced, then throw it on the market

Okay so I'm curious, Lets say this RX-7 runs (who knows) and it has 100k miles on it. It's not in the best condition, but what would you pay for it if you didn't just want to flip it?

The market is kinda all over the place for T2s. I bought mine with 130k for $2300 and it was mint as mint can be. But I've seen them listed for way more. If it's been sitting for a long time it's gonna need some work, specifically vaccuum hoses ($400) and possibly coolant seals (means motor rebuild).

I would probably offer them $2k, assuming the body and interior are in good shape, and anticipate $2-3k to get it in good operating condition. Take a look at this buyers guide for more specifics http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/buy2.htm

Wheeler Dealers just did an RX7 episode, more modern car but I believe all the info about the upsides / downsides of the motor would be similar. Would be worth watching.

Rotors apex are going to need seals...generally its cost prohibitive to do it on an old 13b, so most just throw a LS1 in.

I wouldnt put a penny into that chassis though, that is 20+ year chassis you see there
