Ugh. I get uncomfortable when people get too personal during car meets. Let's just stick to cars, and not a diatribe about the ex-wife, kids, and child support.

Haha totally agree. Hate when it turns into the quasi therapy session.

Talk about awkward . . . I had a guy pumping gas once tell me it was his bday but no family had visited and he was questioning living.

Raise cellphone.
Look at cellphone screen with great interest.
Say "not again".
Say "excuse me".
Walk away while saying "hello".
Listen to nothing with great interest while walking even further away.

well shit guys; when a person starts talking to you like that, at least for a moment be nice and make him feel wanted... might make his day. Still stay distant so you don't get too engaged in conversation; sometimes i like to start acting weirder than the guy whos bothering me so they go away. I had a crackhead woman come up to me and try to sell me used pants from a little girl.. i started pretending i had severe and violent schizophrenia and it scared her away

My post was just a way of getting out of a situation.

Once someone loses my attention, it's doubtful to return.

Skippy in the video:
Hey, if he's happy...rock on with your bad self, but I need to take this call. Excuse me.

Just one of the many reasons why I'll never go to a car meet unless I know all the people who are attending.

It's refreshing to see he's so passionate about his car though.

Like his?
I have an interest in all types. Especially turds given some life.
He could have had, a personal favorite, a cherry Sunbeam Tiger.
Start up the blah, blah blaaaaah and keep it up...grabbing the phone like Clint Eastwood.

All I/we were saying is, leave the backpack with your laundry, whine and cheese in it at home please.
We all have issues but keep that stuff with friends and family.

Used pants from a crackhead.

Worst vent/rant I had to endure recently was at C&C in Irvine. Guy with a brand new 991, long twirly white beard, and vietnam-era looking army cap. He looked more at home on a Chopper than a 991 Porsche.

I went over and said "Man that's a beautiful looking new car, doesn't even have plates yet."

He replies, "Yup, best thing I got out of the divorce. Sold the house, took my half, and decided I wasn't going to listen to no one and just do what I want. Bought a Porsche, got me a fat assed young girlfriend, and now my life is 20x better than it was with the old fat cow."

I looked around for a quick escape, and managed to mutter, "Uh... yeah I'm going to get a donut and coffee, be right back dude."

I don't get why people blurt out their personal business so easily these days.
