Really I'd say the Caterham 620R would be pretty close if not faster than the MONO.

I understand that, and now that I think about it, my comment didn't really add anything to the discussion lol. This car really falls under the track toy category and I just don't see the appeal enough when I'd be grinning in a tiny little R500.

They were not too impressed with the BAC Mono when they reviewed it on Top Gear (UK).

Personally I think the 620 R is stunning. It's also significantly cheaper and I could take someone with me, if I wanted to.

If I was going to buy a vehicle of this type my money would go to Radical. The roof makes a lot of sense living in Norway.

i like both of those....but they're not even in the same league as the Mono.....all opinions aside, the Bac Mono is a bespoke, higher-end version of the track-day special. It's like the 'beautiful supercar'-version of those kinds of track-day specials.

I think the Radical is probably faster around a track.

I wonder how long it will be before BAC build a DUO, it wouldn't come as a surprise and I'm sure they will be able to sell more of those, not everyone is friendless like the OP!

It is not about being friendless, is about sitting in the best position, in the middle, like the McLaren F1. That is the purest driving position, no need to corner balance the car.

The keep that driving position, that makes the BAC Mono so unique, and yet bring some friends, it would be a BAC Trio.

But keep in mind, this is about having fun, and this fun is dangerous. That it never happened to anybody, but why put you friend's live at risk? Track-driving is risky.

Why would wanting a one-seat car as amazing as the Bac Mono mean I'm friendless? When driving to work or something am I supposed to carry a passenger at all times in my four door M3 or else feel like I have no friends?
I see no problem with wanting to drive a car by yourself, especially something like this.
