I love it, better looking then most super cars out there, providing the numbers are decent and it's marketed right could be huge.

Seen this car at the Toronto international autoshow and it looked stunning! And yes they are borrowing the corvettes engine according to the person showcasing the car

They say they have orders for 6 cars already and more letters of intent.

I think the car is still a prototype with parts from other manufacturers, but the production cars will have more in-house parts. It is more like the Koenigsegg company concept where they get the engine from Ford.

Don't forget the 3 more that the Dragon's are buying at cost. So 9 are already committed plus the letters of intent. I'd be interested to hear more about the tranny issue that caused Robert to hesitate. Great show Dragon's Den.

Each car costs $250,000 to make yet they are trying to sell it for double that? I dunno about this one, I'm not saying I hate it, but its not off to a good start in my book. If I had the money, I would probably walk right past it and onto something else.

+1 I would take the $500,000 and buy myself a Ferrari 458 and 911 GT2 RS and call it a day. Assuming both don't cost more than 250K.

Actually only pre-orders are $495,000, once the car is in production the price goes to $795,000 from what I just read. That is a lot of coin for an unknown!

McLaren could start building the F1 again today and start selling them at the peak of their production capacity. It is/was that damned good.
they would but the problem is the mclaren would never pass safety regulations and others

so weight would increase making the car useless.

Good luck with that. In Canada, Ferrari 458 are going for upwards of $325,000. Even in the US a decently equipped and optioned out mass produced 458 costs $280,000 - $290,000 or so.

Another reason why I'm not going to buy a Canadian super car. Don't get me wrong, I like the looks but honestly.. $795,000 for a car that has no history background?

At $741,000* I can get myself a Zonda F.

$325,000 only because of the dealer mark-ups .

I'll get a 458 then buy a second hand GT3 then?

Hmmmmm.........thanks for the explanation. I still think that it should cost alot as creating a midengine, 800hp+ car, carbon fiber, aerodynamics and ABS development takes alot of dough. I don't see them succeed but hey, its always great for more competition

Middle seating position would be a deal breaker for me, even if I had the money to buy a car like this. Getting in and out would be too big a hassle. Also, drive-thrus would be a nightmare and parking garages where you have to swipe a card or grab a ticket would be ridiculous.

I'm surprised people think this looks good. It's average at best; just your typical generic kit car looks.
