The last I6 N/A BMW ever made. It's special in its own right

Haaaa! Would be nice, but divorce pretty much rapes you of cash. Restocking the coffers now though. Also need cars for summer and winter up here, not lucky enough to see palm trees every day like you guys.

You're right on the "non-existent" woman too. They just don't seem to understand!

Kudos to you for persisting in getting (or keeping lol) what you want.

But, I seem to be missing something. That seems like a heck of a lot of work just to get your 128 back. Did you want it back because it had all the options and it's difficult to find another? Or because you babied it for 2 years? I'm kind of confused and seem to be missing something why you wanted it back so bad. No offense but without that reason the only thing I can think of is "I got your car back which you would have not really given me and now you can't get it". I just don't see that much sentimental value in a 128! (or a 3 series for that matter)

at least she sold the car.... pretty sure i would be fittin to do somthing stupid if i saw her new man driving one of my cars...: fighting0030:

No offense taken...

..... ALL of what you mentioned. Options, no longer in production, babied car, don't care for the 2 series, low miles, and the fact that I could just go out and do it.

We'll see if that Cruze holds up too, not a smart car deal on her part. I'm sure the salesman was snickering all the way to the coffee pot while he went "to check with his manager" to approve the deal! Ha!

All that for a 128? Seems a bit obsessive...

Sounds like the second owner was the winner in this situation. He flipped a profit really quick and moved on to a new car.

Thanks for the support man, it means a lot. Yeah, she wanted to be friends, it tore my heart out to have to tell her no. She was my only marriage, a trophy wife, and we always got along like peas and carrots. I still loved her both as wife and as a person and didn't want divorce; wouldn't give me any second chance for whatever it was I did wrong though and there's more to her story than I can disclose. No kids holding us together and I didn't wanna see any new guy she might eventually be with, and I didn't want her calling or popping in if I was with someone, so I told her she can't keep her cake and eat it too.

Can tell you've been in the same shoes...again, thanks. Your words about being at the bottom are meaningful, never thought of it that way. So true. I still have good and bad days. I just grin when I look in my garage though. The 128 was the only new car I had ever bought and after watching it come over on the boat when we got it, it kind of was like having a baby!

^ this. Trade both cars... Get yourself a 20 something girlfriend. Pick up a 911, M6 or something nicer.

No offense OP, but all this trouble for a 1 series, and a 128i at that? It's not an Enzo or F1, hardly anything to lose sleep over.

So you bought your wife an ugly 1 series and she divorced you for it?

Makes sense to me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My garage isn't exactly empty either and everything is paid for.

The love affair with cars continues......she knew you loved the car too....that's why she traded it....it was the other girl!
I kid I kid.
Cars are a quick fix for relations gone awry....now go do what other poster stated...go have some fun playing the field until one locks you down
