Question What impact gun to get?

Finally got an air compressor. Looking for suggestions on what impact gun and/or air ratchet to go with. Not looking to spend a fortune, but don't want junk either. My friend spent $300 on his. That's not what I'm looking to do.

Hmmm...is this an unmentionable or a mentionable? I am confused. Would a *device* that used compressed air to fire a projectile also be "mentionable" if an impact *device* which uses compressed air to suddenly deliver twist is ok?

I mean...where is the line drawn...am so confused.

On a different note, have you looked around at any possible specials (say Boxing Day) where you might be able to pick a DeWalt or something else that's decent that would have been $300 but on sale for say...$200?

I don't have any real suggestions, but maybe consider waiting a day or two for Boxing day?

Boxing day doesn't exist in the US, however the deals should be sweet between Christmas and New Year.

Ingersoll-Rand is hard to beat. Chicago Pneumatic makes amazing air tools as well but they're $$$$$

Snap on, Matco, Chicago, or Ingersoll. You pay for what you get, I've had my snap on for 8 years now.

I have two Ingersoll Rand guns that are probably about 10 years old. I use one more than the other because it is the oldest and I have developed a habit of using it first. The most used gun is a Craftsman but it's just a rebranded Ingersoll. Never have any issues with the gun and haven't found anything it wouldn't twist off. I also run my compressor at 150 PSI and don't have any issues with the guns handling the higher pressure over the rated 90 PSI.

I got a Milwaukee that is just an electrical cord. It works great and I don't have to deal with hoses or tanks

Depends on how much use it will see. I have a Kobalt from Lowe's that was inexpensive and works great.
