World's fastest roller coaster at Ferrari World

Behold the Formula Rossa roller coaster, the world's fastest coaster and the centerpiece of the brand-spankin'-new Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

The coaster, which opened on Nov. 4, reaches a top speed of nearly 150 mph in less than four seconds, pinning riders to the seat with 1.7 Gs.

More details: the cars get launched onto the 1.2-mile-long track with a hydraulic system similar to that which fires planes off the decks of aircraft carriers. And due to the speed and the frequent dust storms in Abu Dhabi, all riders are required to wear safety goggles.

The first one is meh.. doesn't look too exciting.

The second one looks crazy..I would want to go on that..

The ferrari one is only fun at the launch....everything else is "meh"....almost any six-flags in US will have one that's more exciting....

Apart from the speed the 1st one seemed rather meh.

Went on this a couple weeks ago at night...was awesome:

yeah the one at ferrari world is meh after the first launch. But this one beats all the ones posted on this thread, just look at the first drop, it's literally a 90 degree drop and I've been on it hehe!!

. my fav is still the superman ride at six flags in atlanta tho.
