Black Ops 2, anyone else getting it?

Thinking of going to get it at midnight or might just grab it tomorrow.

Can't wait to try it out on my new setup though.

I preordered it at the Microsoft store since they were offering 1600MS points and a + $10 gift card for preorders. They are doing a midnight launch today but I really hate waiting in line lol.

Lol just tried playing on it. Definitely takes time to get used to because the screen is so big and your eyes have to move all over the place to look for people. Hopefully I'll adjust to it or I'll switch my Xbox to a regular TV just for Black Ops.

I've liked it so far in the limited amount I've played it. I've got a screen similar to that size cooler, and it's pretty hard to play competitively online with it because it's too damn big! Looks badass though. Which projector are you running/ what's the diag of the screen? We've got 144" diag and a 3-4 year old JVC D-ILA that has been treating us well.

Optoma HD33 and 150". Yeah it's a little bit hard to play on a screen that big due to not really being able to see the mini map and watch for players at the same time. I still do decently 1.0-1.8 K/D on it but I'm sure if I switched over to say a 22" monitor I would have a better ratio. Though I really enjoy playing games / watching stuff on the 150" with the ceiling speakers since it feels like I'm at the movies lol.

How do you guys like the 3D HD projectors over a TV setup? I have been on the fence for awhile, and since I am about to buy a house here pretty soon, it might be the time to make the switch. I currently have a 59" 3D plasma. It looks excellent, but I like the option to have a TV however big I feel like.

My projector supports 3D but I haven't tried it just yet mostly due to the glasses costing 50$ each. I did purchase an HTPC for it though and if I get the 3D working I'll download all the 3D required codecs / players to try and make 3D work on it.

Can you tell it is a projector when it is playing? In orders words, is it just as bright as a TV would be? I haven't really seen one up close, not of HD quality anyway, so all the old ones I have seen were dark compared to a plasma/lcd/led.

You can't use it in a room that has lights on everywhere. I keep a small lamp behind my couch and turn it on but I never turn on the recessed lights. Doing it this way the projector looks about 90% brightness compared to a high end Samsung TV. But keep in mind this projector I got on sale for about 900$. There are more high end ones that go for 3k+ that should be even brighter / better.

I'm pretty happy with the decision overall. I downloaded a 20gig copy of Avatar on Blu Ray and it looks as good as seeing it in the movies. Does it look as good as putting it on a $4000 Samsung LCD? Probably not but then again you can't get a 150" TV at all.

It has great reviews... I think I will look into it. 900 range is really good.. I can't seem to find that particular one under 1200 anywhere right now... maybe some nice black friday deal will pop up..

Yeah it was an Optoma sale on Amazon. Sold out in about 30 minutes. Was like $1050 and I had 100$ in credit on amazon. It very rarely goes on sale unfortunately though. I think I waited all year for that one sale.

Played a little bit of each of the 3 modes last night. MW3 was my first game in the CoD, and all the extra stuff in this game seems almost overwhelming. Oh well, I'll get the hang of it. Zombies mode seems like it would be fun with a few friends.

So how do you guys like the game so far? I heard there are glitches, especially in Multiplayer mode>freezing constantly.
