My last long-term g/f (2 years) demanded I return the Rolex Sub she bought me. "Err, babe, what about the tennis bracelet, diamond pendant, and diamond earrings I gave you?" (She had this thing for diamonds mounted in platinum or sterling silver, which I'll concede did look good on her.) "You want those back? Obviously you never really loved me."

So she gets the watch back, I return all the jewelry where I bought it and buy a Sub and a Tag Carrera.

In all seriousness, am I the only one that feels kind of grimey about pawning things? I mean I could never ask someone for a gift back and Ive bought some pretty expensive items in my day. But I dunno, it just feels so wrong to sell it.

Myself, once an ex becomes an ex, I get rid of everything from that relationship....

Ohhh dont get me wrong... i burn everything and the jewelry goes into the never be worn box but IDK.... its not even sentimental... i just feel weird selling it..... theres only one thing i wear thats from an ex and its this sick diamond tennis bracelet he bought but hey technically i paid for it via plasma tv, couches, spoiler, carbon fiber hood, clothes, etc, etc

i was thinkg more along the lines of diamonds...rolex...etc..besides, guys don't care...as long as you look good...(and if they do care...keep moving b/c you saved yourself some time and learned early on that he is only into himself and not you)...but to each his/her own
