got up at 5 am for a morning jog and i looked at the thermometer and went back to sleep...it was 51°...fock that, too cold

in all seriousness, i would like to get back to normal. I like to snowboard and it's been in the 70°s in socal so all mountains near me are in slushville status.

The southwest has been warm and dry all winter with a cold, wet fall. I want to ski, damn it!

You guys will have to come out to Colorado to ski and board then. It has been a great season so far, especially compared to the last couple of ski seasons.

It's been in the 40s at night the past 2 nights and I'm freezing my nuts off. I don't know how people can stand 10s, 20s let alone negative numbers. I think if I woke up and it was -20F I would pack what I can and gtfo. Then again I would probably do the same at 20F.

bay area has been amazing the past week or so, 60-70 degrees every single day. Although we have a massive drought which is causing water rationing the weather is awesome

Monday forecast for Chicago high of -4 and low of -21 NOT including wind chill. I've never seen it that cold. Pretty sure a bunch of us are going to die.

It's been either hot or warm; doesn't feel like winter at all, not to mention we're already in a state of emergency for drought conditions. It's been averaging 70-80°F during the day and 40-50°F at night, so we're in a different kind of bad winter... What little snow I'm used to seeing in the higher mountains every year from November until at least April have already melted. As someone who likes cooler weather, it's been disappointing.

Also, if it wasn't for some holiday financial setbacks I thought that this would be the year I'd finally be able to see real snow (yes, I'm 28 and have never touched snow), especially now that I have a car well-equipped for skiing/snowboarding (330xi + cold weather pkg and ski bag), but I guess not for now unless some miracle happens.

Shit, come up to the north a little ways, we have highs of -8 and lows around -30 without windchill. Wind chills during the day are supposed to be around -35.

Is there some level where it just doesn't matter anymore? Like I mean once its below 0 does it matter if its -10 or -30? I mean wouldn't you pretty much die instantly if you went outside without a space suite regardless?
