Can't he just say that the video was edited? How can they prove it was him driving or that the speeds and times were accurate?

Tang rejected the plea, now it's up to the DA to take it to trial, which they probably think they can't win, hence the plea offer.

My guess it will be dropped.

NYC have their own Video from around the city, yes the idiot probably hid the plate, but with his video and theirs they can prove it is him. Not hard thing to do these days.

He did it in the wee hours of the morning and likely in the summer when the roads are in better shape.

He went douche+ mode particularly at the very end of the video. He appeared to aggressively tailgate a couple of cars and he also appeared to make some really tight lane changes.

They have that system set up for red lights. Not speeding. They issue a ticket to the car, not the driver, so it is just a fine, no points.

I am sure they are pursuing this because of all the media attention it brought, just like those bikers who beat up the SUV driver who ran one of them over last year.

Yes, in NY that statue of limitation on something like this is 1 or 2 yrs, this was the issue with this smart ass who claimed to have covered his tracks so the authorities would not catch him. He released the video with in days of doing where as everyone else who did similar things waited until they new the police could not come after them even if they figured out who they were.

This is was the authorities are making an example out of him.
