stage 1 and downpipe

Would there be any benefit if i have a downpipe with stage 1 ? I heard people say get jb4 with downpipe but i dont want to splice the wires.

Or should i just skip downpipe and do stage 1 and catback exhaust?

You would get a CEL if you get the DP without the JB4. The stage 1 doesnt have the feature to suppress the CEL. I myself didn't want to splice wires as well, so I went with a AFE intake and BMS Stage 1 and will be getting a catback soon as well. So far happy with the results, but definitely wish there was a cleaner way to run the JB4 so that I could fully utilize the benefit of a catless DP and a higher map for more boost.

But again, overall happy with the stage 1 and intake. good bang for the buck.

In terms of performance Downpipe will give you a good 30-40 whp gains, exhaust wont be of any benefit.
I would defintely upgrade to JB4 and get DP for maximum power ( and an amazing sound )

Not all DPs, decats yes but no CEL with 200 CPI HFC DP.

Useful upgrade to stage 1 car, both in terms added performance and sound

I'd do an intake sooner over a cat back exhaust. The performance gains are minimal on a cat back exhaust.

If you get a dry filter it's not maintenance but when it gets dirty you need to buy a new one.

Or you can get an oil filter and have the ability to clean it and re-oil it say every 20,000 miles.

For the most power gains, intake JB4 and catless downpipes.
