For the record, I get your point. They took 2 MJ of ultraviolet light to make 3MJ of energy. Problem is it takes much more than 2MJ to make that much ultraviolet light. Just the same way it takes ~100 watts of energy to make 10 watts of visible light with an incandescent light bulb. So now we use LED's do do that same 10 watts of visible light with ~20 watts of energy. |
