iD4 ran out of charge (Youtube vlog)

just another thing to watch if you have time to burn, ignore if this sort of thing is not your cup of tea to watch

let's title it a series of unfortunate events, not a dull moment in this video ...

ID4 software is crap, the vehicle itself is actually pretty nice... at least until they jacked up the price. I got my wife a first edition for $37k, great vehicle 95% of the time. Fast enough for public roads, comfortable without falling in it's face, enough range for day trips, new software is supposed to be better (I still need to schedule since OTA were disabled for this update).

That channels latest video showing all the Electrify America stations currently down is not good. Even the new BTC Power units co-developed with EA, not working in the cold temps.

In the end recommends not buying a CCS vehicle if you live in cold climate.

I’m not saying the US system doesn’t have issues, but why doesn’t Norway seem to be struck with these issues even though they’re making a much bigger push to EVs?

Do you know for sure they don't have issues?

Their charger network is the highest chargers per head in the world, and yes they have issues but they have so many chargers. All paid for by oil export money.

If you skim through the video, he try’s several different types of chargers and locations. EVgo worked fine just at a lower than usual speed due to temps. He said his Model S Plaid had zero issues using Tesla supercharging network in same temps and weather. He went to three Electrify American locations. Two of them all chargers did not work. A third location every charger was down but one. The problem is Electrify America which is the largest non-Telsa dc fast charging network in the US.

This!
I am closing on 100K of EV only DD with my 2nd VW eGolf!
The 1st one had 85 miles range (the current 2019 has 125 miles range) haven't ran out of charges ONCE.
These idiots probably do it for clicks but then again these same idiots would be the ones ran out of gas on ICE.
