why are the wheels so damn MASSIVE?! Either that....or the brakes are TINY!!!

It's just gotten ridiculous, to the point where on many cars they are putting wheels on there that are worse for performance, just to look bigger. Nothing looks as bad IMO as a giant wheel with a dinky little disc brake...or even worse, a drum brake. It just looks ridiculous, like a clown or cartoon. So this Prius probably needs 16s or 17s for it's size and weight, maybe 18s for an upsize...but I fear they are just doing dumb stuff with 19s and maybe even bigger. Look at the sidewall on that, there's just no good reason for it and before you say performance-handling, there's a hell of a lot more to do in that respect before you go for 1" sidewall tires, hell my SS 1LE has the same sidewall that is showing in that picture.
