Actually, it's becoming common here to see vehicles cut in half in Eastern Europe or beyond, then transported very cheap to other parts of the continent to see those pieces welded together again... It saves them from a bunch of import and transport costs apparently. Or the hassle of moving a stolen car I guess.

The last few years we've seen quite a few of these cars snap in half in even minor accidents :/

Yeah, that makes sense. The same thing is happening in Latin America. They steal them or buy them in junkyards, rip them apart, transport them and then connect the pieces. But clearly this guy doesn't have much in his head.
