Word Lens - Cool Translator App for iPhone
This alone makes me want to jump the fence and get on the iPhone bandwagon sooner than later. Very cool ...

It's a great concept, but it's too bad they are getting flooded with negative reviews in the App Store. I have to agree that it's misleading to sell it for free, only to make you pay $9.99 for the functionality you are expecting.
With that being said, if you weed out the unjustified negative reviews, it sounds like it gets the point across for most people. If I was going to a Spanish speaking country, I would no doubt buy it. Even if it only works for simple printed signs like advertisements and menus - those are the kind of things I would want to translate in a pinch. |

It's a pretty cool app. Would be helpful if I was in a spanish speaking country. Moving to South Korea next month so I'm hoping they come out with other languages soon.

that's a freaking brilliant concept and I'm amazed how much general functionality its missing. Seems like something that would be VERY easy to execute.
I would fully expect to pay 10-20 dollars for it too, providing it worked for other languages, etc. |
