Exclamation Problem with LUX V4 LED Adjustable angel eyes

I just installed the Lux color adjustable LED angel’s eyes and I am running into a problem.

Car is an 07 E92 335i, bulb for the angle eyes is H8.

They only run for about 15-20 seconds then both turn off at the same time.
- There are no connection wiring issues because both turn on at the same time and turn off at the same time.

- This happens at all configurations:, engine running, key in but engine not running, headlights on or off, same result every time, they turn on then after 15-20 seconds turn off, even with the engine running, turning the headlights on or off wont make them turn on.

- Just turning on the day time running lights (without key) they don’t turn on at all.

Any ideas?

Kinda annoyed after spending $250 on a pair of bulbs just saying

We just responded to your e-mail as well, but the LUX H8 V4 lights are not compatible with the early build 2007 models. We have this listed on our website as well under the compatibility section since this is a know issue with these models cars already.

Thank you for the quick response,
it’s unfortunate that the place I bought these from did not carry such a warning.

The LUX v3 works fine with my Feb 2007 build E92. Perhaps you can return the v4 and find someone selling their v3?

I returned the V4’s, and bought different LED’s (non lux)

I wish I had been told this before I purchased them. The product does not label it either. The place I bought them from did not mention the compatibility issues either.

Why exactly does it not work? Is it a coding issues? Can the bulb check be disabled for them to work?

Do the lux v4's require a new light module to work? Why do they not work with early 2007's?

they just don’t work with 07's
don’t know if a newer light module will make a difference or even fit/work

If the car was manufactured before March of 2007 then the LUX H8 V4 lights will not work correctly due to the FRM1 Footwell module. We are working on an update that we expect to have available in the next month or so.

Mine is built in 09/2008. So I should be fine on that but the footwell module might be my downfall. I can't think of anything else that would be the problem other than the footwell module. about $300 and maybe more to reprogram or recode the computer to read it... Money pit of a car I have -- might as well call it my land yacht!
