Pretty much.

Clippers are having their moment in the sun, but it's short term, IMO.

Sterling will figure out a way to f things up and sink the Titantic again.

Problem is Staples center will always be the Lakers home. Doesn't matter how bad they are or get. There are still all those banners hanging in the building.

IMO I think the biggest miss was the Clippers not coming to the Honda Center.

Stephen A. Smith on ESPN radio: Then this past weekend, at All-Star weekend – I haven’t’ seen anyone report it, so I guess I’ll be the first. Coach Gregg Popovich dropped a few f-bombs in Dwight Howard’s direction, during All-Star break. Now why is that guys? Because during the timeout, Gregg Popvich drew up a play for Dwight Howard, in the game… except when it was time to run the play, Dwight Howard wasn’t in the game, wasn’t paying attention, was on the bench in his warm ups chillin out socializing with folks, and Gregg Popvich almost went ballistic, and basically was cussing at him according to numerous people I spoke to since this weekend. So, all of that speaks to the focus, or lack there of, that the Kobe Bryant’s and others have alluded to with their comments over the last few months. You can’t have something like that. It’s an All-Star game and you have Gregg Popovich upset at you. beyondthebuzzer.com

Stop the madness. It is no ones fault the Lakers suck except Kobe's. he is to blame. He doesn't assist enough. He doesn't play good defense. He takes too many low percentage shots. He doesn't get along with any one. Haven't you heard all this. Steven A doesn't know what he is talking about, either does Pop.

LOL. Not hard to believe from dwight and how serious popovich was about the all star game according to the announcers.....but stephen a smith just made up a story about dwight a few days ago. So can't trust that guy.

Phil Jackson's take on why the Lakers are struggling.

Quote:
"Dwight (Howard) just doesn't get any touches. They've basically eliminated his assets," the 11-time NBA champion coach said. "They just don't put the ball in the post. They'll use a screen-roll to get the guy in the post. But there's no consistent plan to do it."

"You want the ball 10 feet away from the basket. Throw it into the post, make them double-team and have everybody around to make shots," said Jackson. "That's what [Shaquille O'Neal] could do. That's where you have the Robert Horrys, the Derek Fishers and the Rick Foxes sitting out there getting wide-open jumpers."

Doubt it. The game against Boston was one of the best game they played all season. Kobe + Nash facilitating the offense. Clark and Howard rebounding with Clark getting career high on rebounds. 7 players with double digits points.

Do you have a link to it? I don't blame Howard for all the trouble with Lakers but there are a few games they would have won if there were more fire or desire to within him.
