They're reaching a little here... Guys who buy Lambos and Ferraris are probably not cross shopping a GT-R. But still kinda funny.

"I have $300k to spend on a car. I'm leaning towards the new Lamborghini Huracan but this Nissan commercial is really changing my mind."

You know you're the inferior brand if you start dragging others brands into your commercials. That's a move I expect from brands like KIA or Hyundia.

Damn, ya'll are seriously underestimating the GT-R's capabilities and value...

What Nissan has done with the VR38 is truly a masterpiece. AND the GT-R has quite a matching aesthetic presence. All for $100K...you've got to be an imbecile to bash on Nissan for their marketing tactics.

+1. Rich folks where I live actually get GTRs in addition to their collection of relatively expensive super cars. It's not really cross shopping but more like "what the hell, it's so cheap I'll get it to see what all the fuss is about." They also prefer to take these cars to the track. Also one of the best cars to drive to keep a low profile.

In terms of performance, I'm sure you all know how amazing the car is already for 1/3 of the competition's price.

I don't think anyone here is saying anything about the vehicle's capabilities and value. My friend has a '14 which is currently running 1,200bhp. To say it's powerful is an understatement. However, that is one rough running car. It was rough when it was bone stock. This car would be one terrible daily driver. It's noisy, you hear every single piece that can move, move when you're driving it. I had this old one (he has a '12 before) that he let me borrow, and I've done the same on his '14. Why not bash their marketing? If they are so confident in their product (they have a fine product), why would they bash the so-called competition?

FWIW, he said inferior *brand*, not inferior car. They're applying the same type of advertising etiquette that they use on their Sentra SE-R to their flagship sports car. It's not really necessary. Acura advertised in a similar fashion when the NSX was introduced but stopped when the rest of the automotive world evolved and they stayed stuck in the mud for a decade.

So....
Meat inside the Ferrari package is a horse meat, and meat inside the Lamborghini is a bull meat?
Looks more like bull testicles.
