Something also new not mentioned,

In your call log 'recent' if you click the little arrow next to the date, it'll show how long your call was..still trying to find new things on this update.

I hate how the shake to shuffle only works when the ipod app is on, and the phone can't be on sleep either...

yes. iPhone updates are not incremental. They are full OS updates. Meaning iTunes will put your phone in a recovery mode, erase everything, install the OS and the sync everything back. This DOES NOT include jailbreak apps you installed via Cydia/Installer. You will have to reinstall those. There is, however, an app in Cydia that will make it easier. its called AptBackup. When you open it you have 2 buttons. Backup and Restore. When you hit Backup, it gets the list of your installed jailbreak software and saves it as a text file into the user partition of the iPhone. The partition that gets backed up by iTunes.

So, before you do ANYTHING with the phone, install AptBackup, run it, hit Backup and then sync your phone with iTunes. After that do your thing. When you restore, you will have to install AptBackup first, and then hit Restore button. It will reinstall all your jailbreak stuff.

Also, if you use Cycorder, you will have to manually back up your videos. iTunes does not back that up, so you will lose all of them if you don't save them first.

hmmm...I'm trying to install the 3.0 software on my ipod touch but it's been stuck at "restoring ipod software" for a couple of hours now. What should I do? Sorry kinda OT.

i am not sure about ipods, but you should be able to put it into the recovery mode and try again.

turn it off. press both, power and home buttons for 10 seconds, then let power button go and keep home button pressed for another 10 seconds.

PwnageTool is out, but only for the mac. Just installed jailbroken 3.0, syncing apps.

After updating to 3.0 last night, I noticed today that I'm getting a full 3G signal at my desk at work, where normally I'd have a weak 3G signal
