Per everyone's request, here's just a few more pictures.
Please forgive me, because I haven't quite fallen out of love yet with my 535i. My wife now drives it, and it won't be long until it is chucked full of the usual "clutter" that seems to cling to the inside of all the cars she drives. I will try and stop by the dealership tomorrow and take a few more pictures if the 335is as well and post them for you. |

Awesome review and I agree totally with you.. RED M3!
I bought a 335is.. MANUAL.. E93 The Windows sticker is 26mpg Hwy and I am getting 26-28 at 70 plus.. same as with my 2008 E90 335i.. Streptronic Automatic There is a new E92 M3 Competition in the the Parking lot at work and I am in love! Black.. I cannot disagree with you on any of your comments. THe 335is is more economical, and that was the reason I chose it. As a daily driver, Convertible, and high miles.. the eco choice for me was the the 335is.... THANK YOU for the great write up! |

Beautiful car sir and great pickup. I myself am waiting on my 335is to come in from Germany. I'm pretty sure my next ride I'll move up to the M3. Great choices of colors works really well!

Your new M3 looks great. If I didn't like Alpine White so much, my second choice would have been Melbourne Red. I see your car has the Continental tires. Those supposedly do produce less road noise than the Michelin PS2's. So that adds to the overall quietness when rolling down the road.
I know these cars are rated at 20mpg highway, but yesterday on a 450 round trip ride down to Orange County, CA while usually going 65-75mph, A/C on and of course hitting enough stop and go traffic around Hollywood and Calabassas, the car averaged 21.8 mpg. And that was figured the old fashioned way of dividing the fuel used into the miles traveled. The on board computer said 23.2 avg. mpg, but those things are always optimistic. Enjoy the new car. |

MPG? 335iS w/DCT
"I also noticed that the window sticker for the 335is says that it only gets 24 MPG highway, which is much less than the 27/28 MPG that I was expecting to see."
Not a deal-breaker, for me ... but I do find that amount of difference, compared to the 335i rather surprising ... Odd. Excellent & informative write-up - thanks, - Ray Possibly in the market for ED ... |

I think I read that you are located in Florida. Being that the terrain there is mostly flat, you will probably get even better mpg than out here with the mountains.

Well, it's not completely flat. We do have rolling hills. I noticed in S2 mode that when I'm pulling driving up-hill at about 45 or 50 MPH, the car likes to stay in 7th gear, and doesn't bother to downshift. This causes a bit of a "bogged" performance as it drives up the hill. It even slows down if I don't start pushing the gas pedal a litte harder. This is something I'll have to get used to.
