How much for Stlye 162 Wheels in US? How to get?
Hi,
I really like the 18" of the 330 (style 162) . I could not find them on the BMWUSA website as a seperate accessory item. Anyone know where I could get them? At what price? Do you also know if dealers could buy back the original set of wheels that come with the 325i? Thanks Skimo |

But the harsh reality is this..And it happens with EVERY car, EVERY accessory..these wheels will make it onto the "street" in 6 months or less...At that time, you will probably find a set of 162's for half that price on ebay, or some other medium...If you cant wait, save up and buy the 162's after the fact, and then sell the nice condition 156's on ebay or somewhere else..Youll recoup a lot more of your $$$ that way... I sell a lot of cars and "other" things, so I never think swapping with the manufactirer is a good idea.. |

Yup, thats what I am probably going to do. I decided to go with 325i. I guess the question is, after 6 months of using the 325 stock wheels, how much could I sell them for? I am new to this really....
Also, is "run-flats" a property of the wheels, tires or both? Thanks Skimo |

Bozo5221 you have discovered my secret....im getting a 325 and turning it into a 330 ! I really like chrome everything on the 330, but just dont feel thats its worth an extra 8g... I had that SAME problem when choosing e46 325i vs 330i ...
I am even considering chrome wheels (kinda like the M3 ones ) $450 is way too much for the chrome trim, but i know a place i think i can get them for $90 (dont quote me I am not sure yet). Now they probably wont be OEM, but aftermarkets...for trims who cares!! Now the wheels, i need to do research... Bozo you said something about chrome mirrors ? where? any pics? please please please |

Im in the process of finding out if they are making them for the E90 yet..And if you can get window trim for 90 bucks, go for it!...The quality shouldnt be that inferior to the OEM trim...As for the mirrors, BMW doesnt make a chrome exterior kit, but they do make the titanium one of course..However, there are many people who have duplicated this kit in chrome for the E60's, and E53 X5's...They did for the E46 as well, so I would imagine they are already out there, or will be very soon.... I had the same issue when I was shopping..I wound up getting the 325 as well..I sell a lot of cars, and for the pre-owned market, you recoup a lot more of you money when you sell the 325..Usually PO buyers are looking to get in on the low end of the Bimmer market, which is why I hope youre not getting a 325 with i-Drive..that makes little sense to me, unless you never plan to sell....the next owner wants to pay as little as possible, and you throw an i-Drive mark-up in his face..they'll laugh at you ..on the flip side, just like a 330 with NO bells and whistles...The potential buyer for that obvously has the money to play with and wants more out of his or her car, and you have nothing to offer except stock?...another loss... Anyway, Ill find out about the chrome kits and let you know...They already make them for the 2005 X series... |

Oooh. Dubai... I love that place. If anyone's ever been there in the last five years, please holla!
If anyone can post a real photo of their new e90 with the Burj al Arab in the background, well, you'll just be the biggest balla on this forum. |

Wow Bozo, your comment about having a 325 base model was awesome. It had never occured to me (but does make sense now) that used car shoppers will be looking for entry level 325s with little or no options! I totally agree with you about the I-drive too, that is a pretty stiff premium on an entry level model. I ordered a my 325 with SP but I think many used car shoppers will be attracted to the 17's and lower ride height. Not that I am going to sell my baby anytime soon. This is one car I want to own for at least 7-10 years.
