2022 Audi A8 V8
Just when you think Audi can't possibly do more with their signature LED light displays... They go and blow my mind with this absolute "LED Light Show"!
The car itself.... Exterior side profile is too bland and subdued for my tastes. Front end is attractive and menacing. A nice set of forged 22s will certainly help along with a shiny paint instead of whack matte. Still don't know why they opted for no true exhaust? But that interior tho....

There's going to be so many fingerprints...I wish piano black finishes on touch points would cease to exist.

Love my A8 4.0T, may look bland but I like that. Blows most cars away (0-60 in 3.5secs with tune, amazing for a 5klb car) but still keeps the cops away lol. My wife tried to steer me away from such a boring car (she wanted a Lotus) but I love the car. I'll get the new A8 when I'm done with this one.

Audi has definitely always been top of the game when it comes to lighting technology, curious to see how much comes to the US with our limiting regulations.
As for the A8, I'm not the biggest fan of this D5 generation, the grills on both pre and post-facelift models are not the best in my opinion, and the car does look slab sided. I feel like BMW and Audi design their flagships as short-wheelbase models first then simply stretch the rear door as where MB designs the S as a long-wheelbase model first which is why the 7er and A8 have always looked a bit awkward for me when it comes to their side profiles. I think the D4 generation is a great looking model, especially in the S8 which you could get in short-wheelbase form.

That is the S6 exhaust in Europe which is a turbo diesel. The US market "S" models (S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, etc.) all have real exhausts. The only model that doesn't is the SQ5 but if you order the sport exhaust it comes with proper tips/finishers.

Not sure I'd care about the lights at all, like, who cares if it makes some design when you are starting the car? I want to go and I'm not going to be looking at the exterior lights and I'm not wanting it to project designs. Also, no on forged 22s, as I don't understand why someone would want to make the car slower. Oversized wheels is just so dumb IMO. Please stop doing it.
But Audi makes some beautiful cars that are at least proportioned nice and miles ahead of BMW IMO. If they could only get the engine back in between or behind the front axle.

I doubt it. It's an A8 so they probably wanted a clean look to the rear without having exhaust tips that will inevitably be caked with black buildup. The S8 maintains the signature dual tip exhaust on each side.

FYI... Buyers of these big cars can care less about 0-60 or Top Speed. We Crrrrrrruuuuuuuise. You can roll stock. Plenty of basic folks out there doing basic things. I enjoy vanilla sometimes. |

I'm sure Audi are just designing now to scare other road users with the ever widening front gape.

Looks cool no doubt, but give me cool stuff inside. I can't see that stuff while driving.
I'll take a V10 R8. I am seeing a lot of few years old or even older R8s up for pricing over the MSRP of a new one LOL |

I hate Audi, never again, tried a few times and my wife’s last fully loaded Q8 showed again why I will never trust the brand. CPO car at 7000 miles, front brake rotors warp, Audi won’t replace. Fragile electronics, crap customer service, etc……. The cars just feel a bit cheaper than BMWs to me too, always have.
