I just got these. I’m a noob. My ride is way too bouncy. I want to stiffen it up. How do i adjust the front and the rear. I popped the hood for the front and couldn’t figure it out. For the rear i haven’t attempted yet. Do i just remove the wheel and then adjust from the bottom of the strut or do i have to adjust from the top through the trunk lining? F32 435.

front you need to remove the dust cap to access the adjustment knob. rear you need to remove the shocks

Not yet, trying to work through it. Checked the torque on the top hat bolts. My gut tells me it's either the strut nut or the end links

Definitely look at the end links. They can snap when the car is lowered and stressed, but you don't encounter the effects (usually a clunk sound) until the suspension is unloaded.

Yeah, I think it is them. I probably need to buy adjustable ones. Is there a way to diagnose this when the car is on a lift/jacked up?

Just really poring over them to look for breaks or cracks

Quick question, I am a noob myself and want to get the KW Street comfort, btw I am running a staggered setup...would this still work? Secondly do I need to purchase springs or any other parts along with this kit..sorry I'm completely new to this.

Just buy them and slap them on. They should actually provide more room for wider wheels/tires than the OEM suspension. They come with shocks, struts, and springs so nothing else is needed.

Honestly am not sure what the shop set them up at. I did tires, wheels, suspension and BBK all at once. I removed my dust cap for the ones up front but there isn't an adjustment knob.

How much did you all pay for the street comfort coilovers? Is it a good idea to buy a used set?

One more thing, would anyone know what the max negative camber would be that you can run on these coilovers? I slightly have a little poke since I had to run a 5mm spacer to clear my MBBK in the rear that I want to get rid of.

This is a video of the KW Street Comfort coilovers on a bunch of consecutive small bumps by my house...is that sound normal? Any idea what the issue is? I've had so many problems with these coilovers since installing them.

I have these coils on my 335i and do not have that sound or any issues.
This is why I had a reputable shop install, so that I could take it directly back to them if there were any issues with the install or warranty.

I also had very good experience with KW Street Comfort coilovers. No sounds of any kind.

My coilovers were installed by an experienced shop.

Thanks for the feedback. Going to have them checked by a local reputable shop. I'll report back once I have them looked at.

Sounds like a broken/loose endlink.

Update - I just heard back from the shop and both of my front struts are blown and leaking fluid. I have no idea how this happened but that's obviously the reason for the harsh ride. I have reached out to KW to hopefully replace as I've only had them for 9 months. I'll provide an update once I have the new struts installed correctly.

Keep us posted please -- I plan on getting these in the future.

Thanks!

They will just rebuild for you and you will have to wait forever to get them back after u send them out.

That's exactly what's going on. I have to pay a shop to take out the broken KW's and reinstall my OEM setup. Then I have to send everything back to KW to rebuild then I have to pay to reinstall. What a headache. That's what I get for trying to make my car look cool

I have had mine for couple weeks now. I find the ride smooth but stiffer than stock on smooth road. But any sort of sharp bump like a manhole cover or road seam that are on the smaller side seem to be quite jarring. I adjusted my height today cause the shop had the fronts with almost no gap on the front and almost 2 fingers on the rear. I leveled the gaps to a little over a finger front and back. I also checked the damping setting and the fronts were set to 9 CCW back from stiff. I left them as is to see if the height adjustment helped and it's still the same. Couple questions.
The clicks are very hard to feel. It's more like it gets slightly stiffer to turn then a little easier and I counted that as one click. It lined up with the numbers on the provided adjustment knob. Is this normal or should there be definate click feels to turning the adjuster?
Also, I've read about reindexing the bushings once lowered. If this wasn't done could it cause the harness over the road seems?
Lastly, could it just be the ride is now overall stiffer and I still have the crappy run flats on. I will test out this theory when my winters arrive they're 18 with MPA PA4 non run flats.
Almost forgot alignment is still not done and I can feel it's way out. Steering wheel is crooked and car sways left and right when going over sharp bumps.
Thanks.
