I've had a bunch of broken cupholders on my Z4MC if that counts. Otherwise, I haven't really had any issues with any cars I've owned *knock on wood*

When I first got my '03 Cobra it had some issues with the ignition system (I think from the dealer's detailer screwing up), and that's the closest to a reliability issue I've ever had. Even my 135i was problem free until I crashed it.

Definitely my current 135. Almost hoping they can't ever fix it so I can lemon the damned thing. As far as my family goes we had an 04 745i that kept loosening its chassis bolts, sold it after four months of dreadful ownership. Our 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee isn't far behind, its in the shop every 5k with something electrical.

Most reliable of mine so far has been my 06 Range Rover believe it or not. It had a few small stupid things that bothered me that the dealer couldn't fix but other than that it was perfect.

Most reliable in the family was an E65 750i and our current E39 M5. We also had an E39 530i that was perfect from new to 85000 miles when we had an alternator and a water pump go in the same month, got rid of it after that.

Sounds like me just add 20 more issues... Car has been in the shop for 11 days now and they just told me they think they have fixed it. it only worked a week before this and the whole week before that is was out of service.

So let me clarify this it was out for a week they said it was fixed they less than 5 days later the something happened (had to tow it both times) I have not seen the car since Oct 22..

Wow, this thread makes me second guess ever buying a car out of warranty... I've been very fortunate with all my cars, even my modded, higher mileage Audis have been rock solid.

I haven't owned many cars. My last car was a 2007 Subaru Impreza wagon, 4 speed auto purchased new. Alternator went at 38k, just 2k miles after warranty expired. Spent way too much getting that fixed
Other than that, car was good.

My family on the other hand - '99 Chevy Suburban LT. List of things that have been replaced - all of them, lol (due to age/use, not premature failure - most of them, anyway). Basically the only thing that wasn't touched was the V-8 engine itself (solid as a rock) and the stereo. Car is still running @ 180k miles just fine ... starting to rust out though.
The car did have a serious design flaw with the A/C lines - they run under the car and corrode. Had them replaced twice and finally gave up when the A/C failed the third time, as it will just happen again.

335i is working fine so far. About 7k on the clock. People haven't been reporting issues with the N55-equipped cars ... couple of small things here and there. Only see one or two HPFPs go.

I bought a used 96 accord a while back. Had to replace a window motor, the seals around 2 windows (so the windows wouldn't go up and down correctly), oil seals went out, warped my rotors several times (I never braked too hard), etc...

Bought a 325 ci convertible brand new. I had the rattling windows fixed everytime I was in the dealer and they still rattled a week later. I must have had them fixed at least 10 times in 3 years.
