Because I chose 275s

265 is very close and gives a little more room, usually, which translates to less chance of rubbing. Personally, I just wanted the maximum width possible and I am running a 10" wheel and not a 9.5" (typical) which a 265 could be borderline stretched on (depending on the tire).

265s are not really considered a stretch for a 19x9.5. You can safely run as narrow as a 235/35/19 tire on a 19x9.5 without an issue.

Obviously though, most people want to run the widest tire possible.

I figured I would just post here instead of starting a new thread since I have a similar question with these wheels. I'm likely going to pick up a set of v703 19x8.5 et40 and 19x9.5 et45 for my LCI e90. My current wheels are the same size but et35 (235/35) and et33 (265/30). When the v703's arrive I will use my current tires as they still have about 50% of the tread left.

My question is, when it comes time to buy new tires, would I be able to get away with bumping up the size to 245/35 (possibly 225/40) in the front and 265/35 for the rear? Currently on stock sport suspension, may lower later depending on what I can get away with.

I know I can do 275/30 on the rear with no issue on an LCI with the 45 offset but I would prefer more sidewall. All the e90 LCI threads where people venture away from "normal" sizes end without the OP ever updating.

So for cliff notes:
e90 LCI
f: 19x8.5 et40 with 245/35 ?
r: 19x9.5 et45 with 265/35 ?

Front would be fine, since it has correct aspect ratio, but the rear i wouldn't recommend using 35 aspect ratio. Since it makes the front and rear difference to 2%. Stick with 265 or 275/30/19.

You know you can fit your current wheels also to your LCI. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...08&postcount=2

I was going by the m3 tire size. But knowing the difference I threw in the possible 225/40 front. That would make the difference around 0.8%.

My current wheels are on the car now but one of the fronts is bent.

I don't think there is many guys who have upsized tyres. I know one with 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 combo, but he has stock style 162. So front is 18x8 et34 and rear is 18x8.5 et37.

I think you just would have to test it. 225/40/19 would probably work at front without issues, but rear could possibly cause rubbing issues, especially after lowering, but fender work fixes that.

Does that really matter since he's not an x drive?

I would say it does, because the difference is so big between front and rear. 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 will have 3.1% difference.

Will a set of 19" 8.5 +40 and 10 +38 fit on a 2011 e92 with stock m sport suspension? I don't really care about flushness but more so rubbing and clearance

Thanks
