Here's what I've come up with:
There is no support beam holding up the corners of the railing. (Numbers referring to my illustration below) 1 - If you look at the area I outlined, you can see the silhouette (if you've played Halo, "Active Camouflage") of some kind of figure. Only thing I can think of is Predator or something. 2 - The arrow points to something about to grab/attack her neck
