HDR Shot - Thanks UdubBadger!

Was on the way back from a JSA convention in Seattle, and the weather conditions were just outstanding. I snapped the original of this photo while going 60mph, zoomed in all 200mms of the lens. When I previewed it, I thought "Mm, not bad. Nothing special."

And tonight, I went in and decided to stick it into Photomatix for the hell of it. And then got this...

Credit to UdubBadger for teaching me how to use this incredible software!

cool scene man, give it a shot more contrast and try to suck out the blue haze in the tree section and it'll be perfect IMO.

nice shot as usual man.

if it's cool with you, I edited your photo along the lines of what Udub suggested (reduced noise, increased contrast, adjusted colors to get rid of haze). is it cool if I post it? I think it looks nice.

you could also run the original through Photmatix again and increase the microsmoothing to help with the graininess

I think that's what I did to remove most of it. Trust me, there was much more noise in the trees than before.

CS2. Auto color. Levels. Reduce noise. Unsharp Mask. Brush set to hue. Burn tool.

I'll have to try that for myself

Thanks for the tip, Bimmer.

Following your instructions, Bimmer, I nearly replicated it. Thank you!
