No kidding it sounds ridiculous. Does the story imply grand theft? Or does it mention a transfer of funds? If a transfer is requested and the money doesn't show up does that not sound like a "mistake" to you? doesn't matter how it sounds though you'll never know the acual truth first hand that's why the title reads banking recommendations...but what also sounds ridiculous is reading the title and taking the time to call me a liar about something that's got little to do with the question it's also ridiculous I'd lie at all for no personal gain but that's beside the point...point is I don't give a shit if you a stranger on the internet believes me. If you're feeling hurt over someone "lying" in an arbitrary post in a small little corner on the internet then maybe you should move along or find something else to do

Can't disagree w/ Devant on this one. If you were only concerned about finding a new bank then simply say, "I am not happy with my current bank, can anyone recommend a new one". By adding in some very odd sounding background story about how BAC "lost" $58k, that is certainly going to raise questions about how or why the bank has not resolved this situation. I understand that you can't/don't want to provide a more detailed background story but it is very unusual for a bank to "lose" $58k and then not quickly resolve the situation...

I do own BAC and it' stone well for me. I always found it funny how much banks complain about credit unions not paying taxes, when cos like BAC pay an effective rate < 11%.....winning!

HAHA how did I know you were going to say that. But I was referring to short term assets. Cash on hand and short term investments. Sure it’s in the trillions if you add in net loan activity and if you look at off balance sheet transactions, even more than that!

If everybody joined credit unions (actually I don't know why they don't), my stocks would be worthless (own wfc too)!

Credit unions are all about the members.....again, like the NFCU 12 mo cert I opened yesterday paying 5% apy ...so crazy!

Strange fact but I saw a thread where people left NFCU for usaa because the former no longer allows concealed weapons inthe branch, while the latter does. Pay higher interest to conceal. How' stat for a first world problem?

Well next time I make a post I'll consult with you first how's that? You just commented about not including more detail which is the reason I have a back story in the first place. Post what you suggested n he first question would be what happened with ur old bank someone would suggest BoA you'd say you don't like them then someone would ask why...use your head and maybe ull get it funny I thought I was saving time but looks like people still like wasting it bottom line this post has nothing to do with you doesn't affect you and the person writing it doesn't give a shit about how you gauge my credibility if you're too bored on the internet and feel the need to get into an online debate maybe find another activity
