The crew doesn't have a proper floor nailer? I don't see one in the picture and am deeply concerned.

Nice floor! Good luck.

I had bamboo floors and can confirm that they are soft and dent. I'm not sure if you ended up buying the hard one, but if not, I certainly recommend being careful with it. Anything as light as 2 or 3 pounds can dent the floor if it falls on it. We had a dent from dropping a coffee mug. And definitely watch out for high heels.

My best advise is make sure you are happy with the install after you/they have finished a small area before continuing.

I can tell you I personally would be unhappy with any nail down only install over a wood subfloor as it will be too noisy for me.

Are you nailing with underlayment? Not sure if that's a good idea since the underlayment will compress slightly and slowly pull out the cleats/staples.

Thank you all for great advice!

The base and molding color didn't come out as PM wanted. We just went with pine on the molding. It came out darker than he wanted , but I am fine with it.

Again, he is doing this for FREE, but I am paying the assistant.

Here are the 98% pics.

Did you put new molding around the door frame? If not, that was a great choice to match it and bring the whole room together (IMHO)

In the 3rd picture, is it already scratched or did you spluge over how nice it looked, and to test the clean-up properties?

I was little scared and checked it. Good news. It was just little dusts from working on it.
