Mercedes has stepped up their game with the new C-class!

I want to test drive the new C63 AMG

I think they need to make that MB symbol on the grill bigger.

I drove the first C class my dealer had (1st one to test drive it). Anyways its night and day compared to BMW, the C300 I test drove had the AMG sport pack which has the more aggressive wheels/body/suspension and even then the ride was relaxing and the lack of road feedback was the usual Mercedes, the steering on the car was lose and easy like most Mercedes, I felt that despite the weigh of the E350 with sports package I preferred the E350 sports feel to the C300s feel.

I did like the fact that the transmission (same as in the E350) was butter smooth and a heck of a lot better than the auto found in the 328i. In terms of engines I prefer the 328i's engine over the C300, the C300 felt slow. Now the C350 is a different story its quick but compared to the 335i its slow.. In terms of performance the C300 competes more with the 325i and the C350 competes more with the 328i only slightly edging out the 328i.

Interior.. I was not that impressed with, I think the 3 series has a more attractive modern younger looking interior. But again the C class is night and day to the 3 series, its aimed for more of the older crowd who wants a relaxed ride.

BMW 3= sporty younger, more about driving experience, modern design.
C class= relaxed older, more about isolating for the outside world, more conservative.

One review I read earlier today said the C300's interior "had more plastic than a tupperware party" ...

Mercedes has nothing that competes with Montego Blue though.

The MB symbol could've been a lil smaller up front, it's almost a lil too gaudy..

Also, a real shade of blue (something equivalent to the BMW or Audi shades) would've been FTMFW.

Did you test that Auto or Manual for the C300?

I have a C300, but not 328i, but i'm pretty sure the 328i's tranny is better by ALOT. If you've tried the shifting manually, you can tell the shifts have a 1 second delay.

Haven't tried either yet, got there too late today. I plan on testing the Auto.

Agreed, I am not sure who yarded that one off of one of their Large trucks, but I think we can go bigger.

It's interesting how Mercedes is playing the same game as Cadillac... Must be that slightly retarded Chrysler DNA still screwing up the evolution.

The answer to everything is more power... Doesn't do much for a charger... But who knows.

Over all though I like the new Mercedes quite a bit... There's no way around them being very nice cars.

What is up with that? Man.
Maybe if it was body-colored or something.... but even then.
Like you need gold teeth to drive that.

The auto C300, same 7G transmission found in the E and most of the other MB line up. Its not quick shifting but its butter smooth and doesnt act retarded like the 328i auto. And its able to quickly and smoothly skip several gears. Flooring the C300 or E350 with 7G is an entirely difference experience compared to the 328i Auto, the 7G is just incomprehensibly smooth in every gear change no jerking nothing, its something to have to experience to know what I am talking about.

When I test drove it months ago I found it alright. If I wasn't into driving I'd probably take it over the 335i, but I like driving...so...

Anyone hear know much on the Infiniti G35X? I didn't realize how good the lease deals were on them until today... I just wish their color selection wasn't so bland..

Oh, and that we actually had an Infiniti dealer closer than 70 miles from us... lol
