quick run against an M5 on my way to Jack in the Box

Was on Jeffery with my friend nipple (Vipul, "nipplesbimmer") on our way to Jack in the Box, and we ran into an 08 M5. He was driving next to me at the same speed then down shifted and held his high RPM as we were cruising at about 50 through this construction zone. We came to a red light. The light turned green and we both began slowly rolling. . . I cruised in first for a bit, at about 4-5k RPM until we both jammed it and I got a slight jump on him and watched his car's nose lunge up.

I'm just running a full Milltek Sport exhaust with procede V2.02 (2-26 map) with the TQ settings at 93%. From the time we both went full throttle, until I let off at about 110-120 with him about a car length behind me, he wasn't able to catch up. He fell behind from the start and remained a car length back. So what gives? Bad driver in the M5, or is a V2 equipped 335 really that quick? Maybe he wasn't in P-500 mode?

M5's are mid-12 1/4 cars. Remember they are very heavy so from up until about 120-130, a well modded 335i can hang or get a small lead if you can a good jump. After about 130-140 the V10 is really working and you're toast, it will walk away from you.

nah man i'm sure, and oh yea that M5 would kill after 100. . . . thats why i let off around there (racing politics haha, race them in the ranges/speeds that you know you'd prolly stand a chance.)

I really don't want to start anything guys, but I'm really lookin at the JB piggyback. What's the equivalent to a V2, or the closest I can get? Thx.

Btw, nice run Boost.

its not crap!!!!

i just took a new e92 m3 from a short roll.

M5 is really really fast, your gonna need more then that to win, most likely not in p500 mode, new driver didnt kno how to really unleash the beast within.
but hey, you know he is telling all his friends he got beat by a 335i hahaha

M5's and M6's are hard to drive, I beat my father for about 1/8 mile off the start, then he tends to catch up. A lot of variables can affect that. I have beaten an M5 with a 18 year old female driving it, most likely for that reason, but she has an e92 m3 so who can complain right? (I also got a ticket for 107 doing that, sweet 37 miles over and on my record!) I also have done incredibly well against some, but owned by others.

M cars have a lot of talents, they are inherited, god knows most people cant drive an e30 m3.

Also the M5 and M6 are geared for really high speeds, they shine between 120/205

I'm not surprised of the outcome.

I was dead even with an M5 all the way up to 100mph and I only had a Magnaflow cat-back and V2, after that I talked to the guy and he said :"wow, thats a fast 335.".

M5's are beasts but they also weight 4000lbs and they are geared for 120mph+ speeds.
