OK.... so which of you nerds were up this morning (that will admit to this) experiencing first hand time's digital oddity: Early this morning the time and date was 01-02-03-04-05-06. aka 1:02 a.m. and three seconds on Wednesday, April 5, 2006

Yeah so I'm a dork and proud to admit it. I'm just suffering the consequences because everyone I shared this with at the office looks at me with utter sense of stupidity.

BTW I'm freakin sleepy! Work today blows.

Plus I'm prolly one of the few that actual displays military time on my car radio.

Honestly, though, if you wanted true geekiness you wouldn't have accepted EDT instead of EST, and would probably go by GMT. In addition, much of the world (Europe, I am told...which some posters feel is superior in every way to our homeland) puts DAY--> MONTH--> YEAR. It reminds me of the people who would get hooting mad when the issue of the new millenium came up.

I am relieved to learn that the great Hoosier State of Indiana decided to go with EDT, and also that when the Governor realized that it would shorten March Madness drinking time, elected to extend the bar closing time an extra hour on that early morning last Sunday.

I was probably awake at the time you mentioned, but loading music into my iPOD, oblivious to the aforementioned digital phenomenon.

yeah, but that's really 13:02:03. i think they were going for genuine time so it would have to be in the AM hour.

plus, this whole thing wouldn't fly by EU standards as they (most countries) mark their dates DAY.MONTH, YEAR. so by these standards, just wait till May, and it will happen again...
