Trust me, i highly doubt i would have been accepted into NYU.. I should have applied for the hell of it, but i just couldnt comprehend spending $60 for something i was pretty sure of.

I suppose - my application isn't outstanding either. The main thing I did not want was regretting not giving certain schools a try (like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, etc.).

And $60? That's pocket change compared to my $100/school. I applied to 17 overall!

Ha no way!

I have around a 2.8 right now. And it happened cause i didnt fully withdraw from 2 Community college classes. So instead of a W, they give u a F. But i had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled so i missed too much class, so i stopped going (it was after the withdrawl date). Now im making those 2 classes up right now along with stats, and art history.

Well some were $55, some were $75, so i was taking the mean. But, NYU and Harvard would have probably been much much more.

Couldn't have been said any better.

If you shoot really high but fail to meet your expectations, you still would have surpassed what you would have had you lacked high hopes.

Well, i was thinking for my BA, im not too stressed about where i go. I just want to get it done. If i go for my masters, then yes, i will care about the name and popularity of the school. Thus, spend the money for grad school rather than undergrad.

A lot of PhD grad students are already married and a handful already have children!

Schools take *really* good care of you if you are married and/or have children, too - super cheap graduate housing, daycare, blah blah blah.
