DJ mixing software?

Waaay back in the day, I used to DJ at some bars in Brooklyn. I don't have any of my old equipment any more and would like to play around again. Does anyone happen to use any thing that's worth recommending? I'm not looking for anything real fancy. Just something that's easy to use and has simple features. I don't plan on doing parties any more, I just want to make some CD's for myself.

Are you looking for a beat making program? Or just something to mix the songs together with?

Serato or Final Scratch for entry level, Protools for Advanced.

I'm just looking for something to mix songs together and have bpm measurements to make it easier. I don't have as much time as I used to or I would like to get into the more advanced software. But for now, I'll just stick to the simple stuff.

I mix hip hop, r&b and reggae. I wouldn't have much use for a beat making program.

Since you have DJ experience already and know about the feel and layout of CD decks, I would recommend you the Pioneer DJS Software. Gives you the feel of 2 CD decks and you can program playlist/transitions/mix start points...

to me the best is serato scratch live. kind of pricey but seems to work the best. i have also played around with m-audios torq connectiv which works the same basic way just a little more difficult to integrate into itunes. serato automatically reads and loads itunes into the program.

I would just use it solely on the computer. I sold my turntables a long time ago.
