Meh, the way the Bears played that game, it wasn't possible for the Giants to lose. Congrats to them for shutting down our offense and exploiting our defense at key moments. They looked much better prepared for the Bears than they were for them

that might be partially true but I will say if we had an O-line who could block someone it would be a very different story. Collinsworth and Michaels crown NYC's D cuz of the sack total but its like... with injury and the stupid out of bounds sack rule... of course that number is inflated. Yes they got a lot of pressure, but shit... it was like they were running past tackle dummies.

That was one of the most boring games I've watched in a long time. Besides the crazy amount of sacking going on, the rest of the game was pathetic. Lots of upset games today though...

But we didn't have an O-line and Cutler refused to adjust to the increased pressure by at least getting the ball out. The out of bounds sack rule isn't stupid, it's completely consistent with the accrual of yardage - a sack indicates that the ball was retained by the quarterback for negative yards. There are valid reasons for differentiating between sacks and losses, as it indicates whether or not an actual play was initiated.

Man.. I haven't seen the g-men get pressure on the QB like that since 07. Peppers is an animal. Not even doubling up on him slowed him down.

I agree but its not JUST Jay... Martz encourages holding the ball longer with the plays he calls. If he starts calling shorter quick passes, Cutler gets rid of the ball faster and thus stops getting hit, no concussion, thus we make it a game.

It was a yawn-a-thon. I hate when defense rules the game.

If you have no offensive line, you have no offense. Jay Cutler now fully understands this simple statement.
