I saw that video of 2 Red bull cars racing around the track. It will be an impressive track.

Hamilton topped FP1 at with Kubica second. Red Bull were a bit further down in 4th and 7th for Vettel and Webber. Ferrari were even further back with Massa and Alonso at 12th and 15th. We'll see how FP2 goes.

Is it just me or is the video feed on Speed somewhat choppy, as if there were fewer frames per second? It just goes to show that not only can the Korean's not complete a 100% finished track on time but also provide horrible video feed. I hope this does not last for the rest of the weekend, that would be a real disappointment.

Mine was fine too. The online stream was choppy though.

A bit adjustment for the track...

Quote:
The FIA has moved quickly to allay drivers' concerns about the safety of the pit entry in Korea by agreeing to a quick fix overnight.

The main area of contention for drivers after Friday's free practice had been that cars slowing to enter the pits could cause a danger to cars lapping the last corner at speeds up to 175mph.

But after discussing the situation in greater depth with the drivers, race director Charlie Whiting will have the white line on the pit entry removed according to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.

The move will allow drivers coming into the pits not to have to lift through the fast corner before sweeping into the pits.

Organisers are also set to make the kerb at the Turn 16 left-hander higher to stop cars bottoming out and will build a new kerb at the Turn 18 apex to stop drivers cutting the corner and dragging dirt onto the circuit.

Track appears to be breaking up badly!

Is it just my imagination or are there large chunks of asphalt being thrown up in many of the pictures! That is not good at all!

The track and asphalt is fine...its just those carpet type artificial grass that got ripped out when cars taking the curb too much...so instead of growing real grass like older tracks, they just cover with the carpet over the dirt....

Track should be fine with the changes mentioned above, but I'd say turn 16 needed to be modified as well; it shouldn't dip down IMO. It upsets the rear of most cars. Should be an interesting race.
