Just heard from a buddy who is a mechanic for the Historic GP series. Looks like they won't be showing up to the track because the COTA organizers are asking too much money from the historic guys for entry fees. From what my buddy says, they are all going to sit this one out. Dman, i sure hop he is wrong, because that would mean we'll only have Ferrari Challenge & F1 on track. That's not a lot of on-track action.

Got mine via FedEx last week, overnight, no less. Can't understand what's taking them so long this time around.

I hope that's not the case...I LOVE the historical GP cars!

I'm back briefly!!!

Apologize I didn't get to start the USGP coverage. Because I just got married last weekend and it was hectic the week before and after!!! I should return to cover the final race in Interlagos.

Nonetheless, enjoy the race, all I know is Kimi will miss the next two races, and Perez will be dumped.

Anyone watch qualifying? It was Q2 with 10 min left then after the commercial qualifying was over.

Just crappy coverage or something was wrong with my recording

Pit lane interviews with cars driving down the straight are a joke. They need a little sound proof booth or something. Funny as hell to see who can yell the loudest.

I just had this happen. MENS *UCKING CURLING TRYOUTS were on for the first 1/2 hour of my quali recording. DAMMIT NBCSP. IDGAF about the Olympic tryouts.

I saw Sutil's lady mouth "shit" when he got a flat.

Thanks for 2 practices though.

NBC can suck it. Worse F1 coverage ever. Badly times commercials, they discuss things in Fisher-Price language for all the F1 'toddlers', and have a terrible 2/3 second delay... So u get to see what happens and THEN they react.

Horrible coverage - great result. Congrats to Vettel - breaking even more records.

I agree. I felt like I was watching some really bad racing movie like Days of Thunder when they were explaining DRS and getting all excited about the number of seconds every pit stop took.

Sorry coverage. With all the tornado warnings here today and the race being on the NBC local affiliate, I missed the pre-race and 26 laps of the race. F1 needs a permanent cable home and not be shuffled around between 3 different stations. How many times do we have to plug the fact that this race is in America? Almost makes me think the support for F1 here isn't what they expected and they're trying to boost it more. I can't stand Leigh Diffey and his hysterics. Accept the fact that yes, pit stops are under 3 seconds and may possibly, maybe, one day break the 2 second mark. Get used to it and move on.

And then to top it off, they miss half the live podium ceremony because of technical problems. The only bright side to that was not having to listen to the Three Stooges for a bit.

Bring back SpeedTV and Bob Varsha or move F1 to a paid package like baseball. The endless, repetitive, and frequent commercials take all the fun out of watching a race.

That said, it was another cookie cutter race with Vettel in his usual MO of taking off and leaving everyone else to fight over the scraps. I sure hope the engine changes next year bring back some true competition.

Great stuff by GRO, BOT and and Hulk, the rest same old snoozer. We need the greats to pull up their socks. McLaren and Ferrri are pure embarrassment at this point.
